Buffalo Maternity Photographer | Tifft Nature Preserve Session

Updated: Dec 2, 2020

I vividly remember having my own maternity portraits taken. My husband suggested it and while I'm loathe to admit it - it was one of his best ideas. I felt overwhelmed with other things that "needed" to get done. I felt HUGE - although looking back, I was tiny! And I definitely felt a little uncomfortable in front of the camera. But when I look at those pictures today, I see a young, happy couple that doesn't even understand the depths of love they're about to discover. I LOVE looking back at those maternity pictures and I want to give that same feeling to other moms-to-be. Pregnancy can be easy or hard. It can feel like the longest wait or speed by in the blink of an eye. Either way, it is monumental and life changing. Documenting that time is a no-brainer! One day, you'll be like me, and look back at your belly and remember the baby kicking inside and hopefully, smile (or cry!) at the memories.

This sweet family contacted me and knew they wanted their maternity session to be at Tifft Nature Preserve in Buffalo, NY. It is a beautiful mix of industry and nature and offers super unique views of the water and Buffalo cityscape. It started off overcast and grey, but the sun came out and shined down on these sweet people. I loved every second of it.

If you're expecting and debating on whether or not to book a maternity session - JUST DO IT! Even if you don't like how you look or feel like there are a million other things you need to do - take the pictures. Document this season of life. It doesn't last!
